Human Genetic Disorders
Research Focus
The study of the genetic basis of diseases in defined communities offers a unique opportunity to identify and characterize direct disease-associated genes.
The Human Genetic Disorders research group focuses on integrating diverse data types for personalized diagnosis, utilizing protein structure data, understanding and predicting the behavior of complex biological networks and interpreting high throughput experiments to identify new drug targets, discover novel molecular pathways of disease, validate mechanisms of actions of drugs and develop diagnostic tools for diseases. The group has a special focus on genetic diseases of the Bedouins population in the Negev.
