NIBN management team (Drs. Osnat Ohne, Ron Lahav and Sharon Fireman) attended the annual 2019 Bio-Europe conference in Hamburg this week, seeking partnerships with global key biotech and pharma leaders. 

10 Years of APPLIED SCIENCE, BIOTECHNOLOGY, ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE, STUDENT MENTORSHIP - Thanks to our excellent scientist members, their supporting lab members and NIBN staff. We continue to conduct innovative applied research, foster collaborations, develop novel technologies and commercialize.

Congratulations to Dr. Swaroop Kumar Pandey for the winning poster in the 6th Biannual meeting on Mitochondria Apoptosis & Cancer 2019. Dr. Pandey is a post-doctoral fellow in the laboratory of Prof. Varda Shoshan-Barmatz, NIBN member.

Prof. Alon Monsonego, NIBN member, takes part in a new collaboration between BGU, BGN and NIBN with Orgenesis. 

A study by Prof. Itzhak Mizrahi, NIBN member, and post-doc fellow Fotini Kokou of the Life Sciences Dept at BGU, published in eLife shows that tropical fish can control their gut microbes to help them survive extremes of temperature.

Dr. Niv Papo,  NIBN member, Dr. Noam Levaot of BGU's Department of Physiology and Cell Biology and Ph.D. student Yuval Zur​ show that a natural protein in the body can be tailored to function as a multi-targeting drug to treat osteoporosis. 

The National Institute for Biotechnology in the Negev (NIBN) Building garned an "Ot Haitzuv" (Design Award) 2018 for Chyutin Architects in the category of public buildings at a ceremony held at the Tel Aviv Museum.
